My Story

East Lothian Flower Farm was founded in 2016 by Debbie Scott, growing childhood favourites in her small back garden. Scented sweet peas, dahlias, cornflowers and roses thrived and were snapped up by friends and family.

Bringing a former historic kitchen garden back into production on the Lennoxlove Estate near Haddington, ELFF took on 0.3 acres, expanding to 1 acre of growing space.

The unique flowers and foliage are sold locally in bouquets, at farmers markets, and direct to customers from the field. Wholesale flowers go direct to florists for events, weddings and photoshoots. Flowers can also be purchased for DIY weddings and gifts, with workshops, tours and pick-your-own classes.

Sustainability is embedded in all the practices at ELFF from using soil association certified compost, growing flowers to encourage diversity, recycling pots, making compost and using recyclable practices in floristry.

With a passion for land nature and growing, Debbie strives to lead the Flower Grower Collective to revitalise and promote the British cut flower industry, getting more locally grown agroecological flowers to customers across the UK.
